Telecommunications
As information technology takes hold throughout the world, telecommunications and access to information becomes increasingly important. Access to broadband is a necessary condition for development in the region. Additionally, several studies have been conducted assessing the region's current resources and evaluating programs aimed at improving telecommunication capabilities throughout Appalachia.
